An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join one of the Business Services & Tax teams. This is a client-facing role with a strong balance between compliance and advisory work.
The position will suit an experienced Senior Accountant ready to step up, or an existing Assistant Manager looking for a stable firm with long-term career prospects.

Role split:
  • 70% compliance
  • 30% advisory
You will be heavily involved in managing and developing client relationships and will take ownership of onboarding and working with new SME clients across Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of SME and small business clients
  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns
  • Provide advisory support including tax planning and business advice
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients
  • Take on new clients and build trusted long-term relationships
  • Review work and mentor junior accountants
  • Support Partners with workflow management and team growth
About You
  • CA qualified (or close to completion)
  • Strong experience in Australian public practice
  • Confident managing SME clients independently
  • Comfortable in a client-facing, advisory-focused role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting tools
