Key Responsibilities

  • Lead external audit engagements from planning through to completion, including risk assessment and internal control evaluation
  • Manage a portfolio of audit clients across a variety of industries
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and performance feedback
  • Review working papers and ensure audit files are completed in line with firm methodology and Australian Auditing Standards
  • Communicate directly with clients, building trusted relationships and adding value through insights and recommendations
  • Liaise with Partners and Managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of audit assignments
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement and knowledge sharing within the audit division
Skills & Experience Required
  • CA/CPA qualified or near completion
  • Minimum 3–5 years of external audit experience, ideally within a mid-tier or top-tier firm
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards
  • Experience managing audits from planning to completion
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Ability to lead and develop a small team
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience with CaseWare and/or other audit software (advantageous)
