We are representing a highly respected, specialist Financial Planning firm in Melbourne seeking a motivated Associate Financial Adviser.
This is a pivotal role within their Advisory team, designed for someone who thrives on technical complexity—specifically within the SMSF and Investment space.

This isn't just an admin role; it is a clear pathway to advising. You will be mentored by Senior Partners to take the lead on client presentations, SMSF strategies, and sophisticated investment implementations.

The Role

• Client Engagement: Conduct initial client presentations and drive the process toward SoA meetings.
• Technical Advice: Prepare complex Statements of Advice (SoA) and associated documentation for SMSF setups and investment strategies.
• Investment Implementation: Manage the end-to-end execution of trades via share trading platforms and liaise with brokers and fund managers.
• Portfolio Maintenance: Manage the Approved Product List (APL) and maintain high-touch communication with clients regarding their investment outcomes.
• Strategic Support: Partner directly with Senior Advisers to develop tailored investment strategies for a sophisticated client base.

About You

• You have 3+ years of experience within a Financial Planning environment (Associate or Senior CSO level).
• You possess a strong technical understanding of SMSF structures and Investment markets.
• You are highly "tech-savvy" and comfortable managing trading platforms and advice CRM databases.
• You are a clear, professional communicator who feels at home speaking with clients and product providers.
• You are ambitious and looking for a firm that will actively support your progression into an Adviser role.
