This is a family-run brokerage specialising in mining and construction risks, based in the Brisbane CBD. They’re known for being personable, supportive, and genuinely invested in staff growth.

They provide specialised solutions and in-depth financial assessments, particularly around bonds and complex construction risks.

The Role
This is the only dedicated Claims role in the business, managing claims end-to-end. You’ll work closely with brokers and clients, particularly across construction and mining risks.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage claims from notification through to settlement
• Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, lawyers and clients
• Handle motor, personal injury, material damage, contract works and some debt recovery claims
• Manage construction site claims, particularly weather-related events and reinstatement to pre-loss condition
• Provide strategic advice to clients during complex claims scenarios
Requirements
• Experience in property claims (essential)
• Construction claims experience highly regarded
• Legal background advantageous
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work autonomously as the sole Claims Manager

Working Arrangements
This role is full-time in office, with the possibility of 1 day per week WFH after probation.

Salary
$85,000–$95,000 + super.
