About the Role

The Finance Officer will support daily financial operations, ensure accurate transaction processing, and assist with month-end reporting. Working within a collaborative team, the role also contributes to compliance, process improvement, and timely delivery of financial insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processing
• Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring daily transactions
• Supporting month-end processes including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
• Ensuring adherence to internal controls and relevant industry regulations
• Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Assisting with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
• Maintaining accurate financial records in line with compliance and audit standards
• Supporting statutory obligations including BAS and payroll tax preparation

Ideal Candidate

• 2+ years of experience in a finance/accounts role
• Experience in entertainment, digital platforms, or other regulated environments is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Solid understanding of accounting systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, NetSuite)
• Intermediate Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
• Confident communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills
• Proactive and adaptable mindset suited to a dynamic business setting
