About the OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Solicitor to join our highly-regarded Insurance Litigation team in the Brisbane office. This role is ideal for a lawyer with 2–3 years’ Post Qualification Experience who is eager to dive into complex, high-stakes matters including catastrophic injury claims and product liability & recall.
You will work closely with a prominent Principal, receiving direct mentoring within a close-knit team. This is a role designed for someone who wants to sharpen their litigation skills, take on meaningful responsibility, and progress their career in a supportive, high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities - Manage a varied caseload of insurance litigation matters, including general liability and complex product recall cases.
- Work on high-quantum and catastrophic injury claims, providing strategic advice to domestic and international insurers.
- Draft high-quality legal documents, including advices, pleadings, and witness statements.
- Assist in the preparation of matters for mediation and trial, including briefing counsel and experts.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, insureds, and industry stakeholders.
- Contribute to a positive team culture through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in the firm’s continuous improvement initiatives and professional development programs.
About You: - 2–3 years post-admission experience in a litigation practice, experience with insurance law.
- Candidates with a plaintiff litigation background who are looking to transition to defendant insurance work are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for detail.
