Our specialist accounting recruitment client has partnered with a highly-regarded and progressive accounting firm (Our Client) to find two talented and motivated Intermediate Accountants to join their professional team. The Opportunity:
We are seeking two dedicated Intermediate Accountants with a solid foundation in Australian accounting principles and tax law. In this role, you'll manage your own varied portfolio, acting as a key point of contact for clients, and providing timely and accurate financial and taxation services.
  
Key Responsibilities:  

• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and activity statements for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
• Managing client relationships and effectively communicating complex financial and tax information.
• Providing proactive tax planning and general business advice to clients under the supervision of Seniors/Managers.
• Assisting with advisory projects and compliance work.
• Maintaining high-quality workpapers and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

  
What You'll Bring:  

• Experience: 2-4 years of experience working within an Australian Public Practice accounting firm.
• Education: A tertiary qualification in Accounting (or equivalent).
• Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation law and accounting standards. Proficiency with key accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and tax preparation software.
• Commitment: A desire to pursue or currently studying towards a CA/CPA qualification (study support provided by Our Client).
• Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage deadlines.
