Legal Secretary
Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for the legal field? I am currently partnering up with a reputable law firm based here in Brisbane CBD who is seeking a talented Legal Secretary to join their growing team.
As a Legal Secretary, you will provide crucial administrative support to their legal professionals, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office and the success of their legal operations.
Responsibilities: - Assist lawyers in preparing legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and contracts.
- Manage and organize legal correspondence and documentation, both in physical and electronic formats.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for attorneys.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, and route them to the appropriate individuals.
- Maintain filing systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of information.
- Conduct legal research and compile relevant information as needed.
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including photocopying, scanning, and filing.
Requirements: - Previous experience as a legal secretary or similar role preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and legal software (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures preferred.
- Certificate or diploma in legal studies or relevant field preferred.
