They are seeking a highly motivated accountant with 2 to 5 years of experience to manage a complex, cloud-based client portfolio from any location in Australia.
  
The Opportunity   
This role is perfect for a strong Intermediate Accountant ready for the next challenge, or an experienced Senior Accountant looking to maximise work-life balance without sacrificing career progression. You will be an integral part of a virtual team, leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional service to clients across various industries and entity structures.
  
Key Responsibilities   
  • Compliance & Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and potentially SMSFs.
  • Client Advisory: Act as a key point of contact for a dedicated client portfolio, providing proactive tax planning and general business advisory under the guidance of Managers/Partners.
  • Workflow Management: Efficiently manage your own workflow and deadlines, utilising cloud-based practice management software.
  • Review (Senior Level): For candidates with Senior experience, the role will include reviewing the work of junior team members and providing constructive feedback.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay current with Australian taxation law and accounting standards.
  
What You'll Bring   
  • Experience: 2-5 years of solid experience working within an Australian Public Practice accounting firm.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Accounting (or equivalent).
  • Professional Study: A desire to pursue or actively studying towards a CAANZ or CPA qualification.
  • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and remote practice software.
  • Work Style: Proven capacity to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain excellent virtual communication skills.
  • Remote Setup: A stable, professional, and reliable home office setup with high-speed internet.
