Senior Lawyer/Legal Practice Manager | Family Law About the Opportunity
A distinguished and progressive family law firm is seeking an experienced and empathetic Legal Practice Manager to lead their Ipswich office. This unique role combines high-quality legal practice with strategic leadership, offering the right candidate a chance to shape the future of the office while maintaining a hands-on approach to family law.
Key Responsibilities
  • Legal Practice: Manage a substantial family law caseload, providing expert advice and representation to clients across various matters.
  • Leadership & Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Ipswich office, including mentoring a team of three lawyers (including a Special Counsel) and seven support staff.
  • Strategic Contribution: Participate in monthly management meetings, contributing to firm-wide decisions, including financial planning, marketing strategies, and HR policies.
  • Business Development: Foster and expand referral networks, enhancing the firm's presence and reputation in the region.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-admission experience in family law, with a proven track record of managing complex cases.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor legal teams, with prior experience in a management or partnership role being advantageous.
  • Cultural Fit: A collaborative and innovative mindset, with a commitment to the firm's long-term vision and values.
  • Client Focus: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering empathetic and effective client service.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel between offices and to Brisbane CBD for court appearances or client meetings as required.
