The Opportunity: Your Mission We are seeking an experienced
Senior Manager to take the reins of our high-performing offshore team of four accountants located in Vietnam. This is a critical role that sits at the nexus of our client service and our technical delivery.
Your primary focus will be to act as the
key point of contact and workflow manager between our Australian clients/in-house team and the offshore team, ensuring all technical work is completed to our exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Offshore Team Management: Oversee the daily workflow, output quality, and performance of the highly capable offshore accounting team (Vietnam).
- Client Relationship Management: Manage a portfolio of 70-80 client groups alongside the offshore team, serving as the main liaison and trusted advisor to business owners.
- Technical Oversight & Quality Control: Provide strong technical guidance and review for complex accounting, compliance, and restructuring work, leveraging your expertise to steer the offshore team.
- Business Advisory: Engage in personable, high-level discussions with clients to understand their needs, solve problems, and provide value-add advice.
Who You Are (Must-Have Attributes) - Exceptional People Skills: You must be highly personable, approachable, and an outstanding communicator. The ability to hold a conversation and genuinely relate to business owners is paramount—more so than pure technical grunt.
- Technical Acumen: You possess robust technical accounting knowledge and experience, essential for effectively managing and guiding an experienced offshore team. We use technical concept discussions as part of our interview process to confirm this.
- Manager or Senior Manager Level: Proven experience at a Senior Accountant or Manager level, ideally with prior experience in managing or working closely with offshore accounting teams.
- Cloud Proficiency: Extensive hands-on experience with modern cloud-based accounting platforms, particularly Xero and its associated ecosystem.
- In-Office Commitment: A belief in the value of an in-office presence for team culture, mentoring, and collaborative problem-solving.
