Are you an experienced CA-qualified finance leader who enjoys more than just the numbers?

Our client, a growing boutique Public Practice firm, is seeking a commercially minded CFO / Operations Manager to join their leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic financial leadership with operational management, playing a key role in driving the firm's continued growth and innovation.

This isn't your typical CFO position. You'll be responsible for the financial direction of the business while also taking ownership of operations, systems, technology, and business improvement initiatives. Longer term, you'll have the opportunity to help establish and lead a CFO Advisory division, making this an ideal role for someone who wants to leave a lasting impact.

The Role As part of the leadership team, you will:

• Lead the firm's financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting
• Prepare and oversee year-end financial statements and reporting
• Provide commercial and strategic advice to the Directors
• Develop KPI reporting and business performance dashboards
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency across the business
• Implement new systems, technology and process improvements
• Drive AI and automation initiatives to improve productivity and client service
• Oversee operational functions with responsibilities similar to a COO
• Support business growth, marketing initiatives and strategic planning
• Play a key role in building the firm's future CFO Advisory offering

About You We're looking for someone who has:

• CA qualification (essential)
• Experience as a CFO or a Senior Manager ready to step into their first CFO role
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including year-end financial reporting
• A commercial mindset with experience providing strategic business advice
• Proven operational leadership and business improvement experience
• Strong systems and technology capability, with a passion for AI and automation
• Experience developing KPI reporting and management information
• Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ambition to grow with the business and help shape its future direction
