Claims Manager

The Opportunity An opportunity has become available for an experienced Claims Manager to take ownership of the brokerage's entire claims function. As the dedicated claims specialist, you'll manage approximately 150 active claims while working closely with brokers, insurers and clients to deliver exceptional outcomes.
The portfolio is diverse and includes approximately:
- 61 motor claims (including around a dozen recovery and final cost matters)
- 9 contract works and material damage claims
- 12+ liability claims across both property damage and personal injury
- Workers' Compensation (WA)
- Professional Indemnity
- Corporate Travel
- Home and Landlords insurance
- Other commercial insurance lines
This role offers excellent variety and exposure to complex commercial, mining and construction claims, making it ideal for someone who enjoys managing claims from start to finish while building trusted relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage claims from initial notification through to settlement
- Handle a diverse portfolio of approximately 111 active claims across multiple insurance classes
- Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors and other key stakeholders
- Coordinate construction-related claims, including weather events and reinstatement works
- Manage recoveries and negotiate favourable outcomes for clients
- Provide strategic advice and advocacy throughout the claims process
- Work collaboratively with brokers to deliver outstanding client service
About You - Previous experience managing commercial property claims
- Construction or contract works claims experience will be highly regarded
- A legal background or qualifications will be advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work autonomously while managing a varied claims portfolio
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
