Employment Lawyer | 2+ Years PQE Our client is a highly regarded national law firm with an exceptional Workplace Relations team. With extensive experience in contentious and non-contentious employment, safety, and industrial matters, the firm acts for a broad client base ranging from small privately owned businesses to large corporate entities across sectors such as retail, finance, healthcare, construction, professional services, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing timely, commercial, and legally accurate advice across employment law, industrial relations, and safety matters.
  • Managing contentious employment litigation as well as advisory work.
  • Conducting effective legal research and staying up to date with case law and legislative changes.
  • Prioritising and managing a robust workload while effectively running matters autonomously.
  • Developing a deep understanding of client operations, strategies, and industry dynamics.
  • Building and managing strong client and prospective client relationships.
  • Assisting in mentoring and developing junior team members where appropriate.
About You To be successful in this role, you will be self-motivated, energetic, and adaptable with a commitment to delivering practical, client-focused solutions.
Key Requirements:
  • 2+ years’ PQE in Employment, Safety & Industrial Relations practice.
  • Experience in back-end employment litigation and front-end advisory work.
  • Exposure to industrial relations practice, management, or enterprise bargaining is highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a plain-language communication style.
  • Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and manage expectations effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to relate to people at all levels within a close-knit team.
