Employment Lawyer The Andersen Partnership have been instructed to find an Employment Lawyer with 2-6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join a well-established law firm. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of employment law matters in a supportive and flexible working environment.
  
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both contentious and non-contentious employment law, with a passion for providing exceptional legal advice and representation to clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and representation to clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including workplace disputes, unfair dismissal claims, general protections claims, and employment contracts.
  • Draft and review employment contracts, workplace policies, and other related documentation.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and tribunal hearings, including the Fair Work Commission and other employment-related forums.
  • Advise on workplace health and safety, industrial relations, and compliance with relevant employment legislation and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering tailored, strategic advice.
  • Contribute to the growth of the firm through business development and networking activities.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services and share knowledge across the team.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 2-6 years’ PQE in employment law, gained in a reputable law firm or in-house legal team.
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment law, industrial relations, and workplace regulations.
  • Experience in advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A strong work ethic and desire for continuous professional development.
