Based in a fantastic Gold Coast office with beautiful beach views, this role is ideal for an aspiring broker or assistant broker with at least 12 months of experience in an insurance brokerage who is looking to broaden their knowledge and work alongside an experienced team of commercial brokers.
The Role You’ll manage an existing domestic insurance portfolio while providing support across a range of commercial SME clients. This is a great opportunity to build on your current experience, develop your technical knowledge and gain greater exposure to commercial broking.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and servicing an existing domestic insurance portfolio.
- Assisting with the servicing and administration of commercial SME accounts.
- Preparing quotes, renewals and insurance documentation.
- Liaising with clients and insurers to ensure a high level of service.
- Supporting experienced commercial brokers with client requirements and account management.
- Building your knowledge and experience across a broader range of general insurance products.
About You We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, enjoys working with clients and is motivated to build a long-term career in insurance broking.
Ideally, you will have:
- At least 12 months’ experience working within an insurance brokerage.
- A Tier 2 qualification, with Tier 1 general insurance qualifications highly regarded.
- Experience in domestic insurance, with some exposure to commercial SME a bonus.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced brokers.
- A genuine interest in developing your commercial broking capabilities.
