Intermediate Accountant
We have partnered with a dynamic and reputable accounting firm specialising in providing compliance and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients. Our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional results and as they continue to grow, they are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join the team.
About the Role:
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work closely with our partners and senior staff to assist our clients with compliance and business advisory matters.
Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting in the preparation of tax returns
- Preparing accurate and comprehensive financial statements
- Assisting with month-end procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Liaising with the ATO and ASIC on client compliance matters.
- Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS) for clients.
About You: To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
- Degree in accounting/Finance
- Currently studying or planning to complete CA / CPA’s
- Proven experience
- Proficiency in Xero and MYOB accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize work.
