Payroll & HR Manager- Based in Northern Suburbs- Perth! We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Manager! Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for leading all payroll and human resources functions to ensure compliant, efficient, and employee-focused operations.

  
This is a pivotal position where you will serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees while ensuring accurate payroll processing, regulatory compliance, and the development of effective HR policies and practices that support organisational objectives.

  
About the Role
As a Payroll & HR Manager, you will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for up to 130 staff at peak times and lead the full spectrum of HR functions. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance with employment legislation, supporting employee relations, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

  
Key Responsibilities

  
Human Resources Management
  • Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures.
  • Oversee recruitment, on boarding, and off boarding processes.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Lead performance management processes and support talent development.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the WHS team to manage workers’ compensation claims.

  
Payroll Administration
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing (fortnightly) with accuracy and timeliness using Tanda and Account Right.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions, and reporting requirements.
  • Administer employee benefits, leave tracking, and compensation adjustments.
  • Respond to payroll queries.

  
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and labour regulations.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor legislative changes and update policies accordingly

  
Strategic & Operational Support
  • Contribute to HR strategy aligned with organisational goals
  • Provide HR metrics and workforce reporting to senior management
  • Support organisational change initiatives

  
About You
You are a confident and knowledgeable HR professional with strong payroll expertise and a high level of integrity. You thrive in a hands-on role and can balance operational detail with strategic thinking.

  
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll management
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll
  • Strong knowledge of Industrial Relations laws
  • Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Proven experience handling employee relations matters
  • Experience using Account Right for payroll and Time & Attendance systems (TANDA preferred)
