Key Responsibilities - Compliance & Taxation: Prepare and review complex financial statements, income tax returns, and activity statements for a diverse portfolio of clients (Individuals, Companies, Trusts, and Partnerships).
- Business Advisory: Provide high-level tax planning, structuring, and management accounting advice to help clients grow their businesses.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term relationships and delivering proactive solutions.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and review the work of junior and intermediate accountants, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- ATO Liaison: Manage correspondence and negotiations with the ATO on behalf of clients.
What We Are Looking For - Experience: 4+ years of experience within an Australian public practice environment.
- Qualifications: CA or CPA qualified (or currently completing).
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Australian tax law and proficiency in modern accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, APS, or Class).
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in plain English.
- Mindset: A motivated team player with strong problem-solving abilities and a sharp eye for detail.
