Senior Book-Keeper- Public Practice- Subiaco Location
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded
professional services firm in Perth for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing bookkeeping team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a client-focused Bookkeeper who enjoys variety, building strong client relationships and using technology to deliver efficient, high-quality bookkeeping solutions.
The Opportunity Working as part of an experienced bookkeeping team, you will manage a portfolio of clients and provide a comprehensive range of bookkeeping services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing day-to-day bookkeeping transactions, including receipts, invoices, payroll and bank transactions
- Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS and other ATO-related returns
- Setting up new client files and improving Chart of Accounts structures
- Preparing monthly management reports for clients
- Managing workflow, job scheduling and deadlines across multiple clients
- Acting as the key point of contact for bookkeeping-related queries
- Working closely with the accounting team to resolve client queries and requirements
- Supporting clients with onboarding and implementation of accounting software
- Training clients to use accounting software and associated technology effectively
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and utilise technology to increase efficiency
You will work with a
diverse portfolio of clients, making this a varied role where no two days are necessarily the same.
About You-
We are looking for someone who is confident managing multiple clients and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.
You will ideally have:
- Demonstrated experience working as a Bookkeeper within an accounting practice or bookkeeping business
- Experience managing a broad portfolio of clients concurrently
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping processes and financial reporting
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile client files through to Trial Balance
- Experience preparing BAS/IAS and other relevant ATO returns
- Experience with Xero and MYOB, along with other accounting software and add-ons
- Experience with client onboarding and implementation would be advantageous
- Strong organisational and job scheduling skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A genuine interest in using technology to improve efficiency and processes
- A client-focused approach and strong communication skills
- A positive, proactive and solutions-focused attitude
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
- A growth mindset and willingness to continue developing your technical skills
A
Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting would be advantageous.
