Team Assistant Team Assistant

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Team Assistant to join a well-established professional services firm in Brisbane CBD. This is a junior-level role designed for someone who already has some experience working within a public practice accounting environment and is ready to take the next step in their career.

Working closely with the Business Advisory and Client Onboarding teams, you'll provide day-to-day administrative support and help ensure the team runs smoothly and clients receive a high level of service.

You don't need to be an accounting expert or have previous ASIC experience. What matters is that you understand the public practice environment, are familiar with accounting terminology and ATO correspondence, and know how an accounting firm operates.

This is a great opportunity for someone currently working as a Team Administrator, Administration Assistant, Client Services Assistant or Junior Client Services Coordinator who wants to join a larger organisation with genuine opportunities to learn and progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Business Advisory team.
  • Assist with ATO administration and correspondence.
  • Prepare and coordinate client collation packs.
  • Assist with end-of-month fee administration.
  • Support the team with general administration and ad hoc tasks.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate client information and documentation.
  • Work closely with the Client Onboarding team to support a smooth client experience.
  • Assist Business Advisory professionals with their day-to-day requirements.
  • Coordinate documents, information and follow-ups as required.
  • Contribute to maintaining efficient team processes and workflows.
  • Provide a friendly and professional experience to both clients and internal stakeholders.
About the Firm

You'll be joining a highly regarded and well-established professional services firm with a strong presence in Brisbane and a reputation for delivering high-quality advice to its clients.

While the business has the size and resources of a larger professional services organisation, the culture remains collaborative and people-focused.
It's an environment where junior team members are encouraged to learn, ask questions and develop their skills. With strong staff retention, structured learning opportunities and clear career pathways, it's a great place to build a long-term career rather than simply take your next job.

You'll be surrounded by experienced professionals across the business and have the opportunity to gain exposure to different areas of public practice as your career develops.

What's on Offer
  • Salary package of up to $85k.
  • Up to 2 days' work from home per week.
  • An additional annual day of leave to enjoy through the firm's employee leave program.
  • Strong learning and development opportunities.
  • Study support to help you progress professionally.
  • Regular social, wellbeing and team events.
  • A genuinely collaborative and supportive culture.
  • Clear career pathways and opportunities for progression.
  • The opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded professional services business.
  • Brisbane CBD location with the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement.
The Person

This role is ideally suited to someone with 1–3+ years' experience within a public practice accounting firm. You may currently be working as a Team Administrator, Administrative Assistant, Client Services Assistant, Junior Client Services Coordinator or in a similar support position within an accounting firm.

Previous ASIC experience isn't required. Instead, we're looking for someone who understands the basics of working in public practice — you're familiar with accounting terminology, ATO correspondence, client documentation and the pace and processes of an accounting environment.

You'll be organised, reliable and comfortable juggling a variety of tasks. You'll also be someone who is happy to get stuck in, whether that's helping with a larger team project or picking up an ad hoc administrative task.

Most importantly, you'll have a positive attitude and a genuine interest in developing your career. You don't need to know everything from day one — the right attitude, willingness to learn and existing public practice experience are what matter most.

If you're looking for a role where you can build on your public practice experience, learn from experienced professionals and have a clear pathway to progress, this is an opportunity worth exploring. Apply Now
